LEGOLAND® New York Resort Grand Opening Date Announced and more!

Opening day is now official for LEGOLAND® New York Resort!

The much-anticipated theme park with over 150 acres of pure LEGO Brick enjoyment will open on July 4, 2020. Now you can purchase three-tier annual passes and even single-day tickets on their website. It’s never too early to start making your summer plans, and I would highly suggest planning early as LEGOLAND® New York Resort is slated to be the biggest theme park opening in 40 years. With over 50 rides and attractions, as well as an on-site hotel (opening 2021), LEGOLAND® New York Resort is going to be a hot spot for families and big kids at heart.

Big Theme Park Fun, Short Distance From NYC

Just 60 miles away from NYC, venture up to majestic Goshen, NY, which is a quaint town that has welcomed LEGOLAND with open arms. Who wouldn’t? The opening of LEGOLAND® New York Resort is promising the jobs of 1000 Model Citizens - that is a lot of people and great growth for Goshen and the surrounding areas. I’m a city girl myself, but I spent every summer in Upstate, New York - it is nice for the countryside of NY to finally get recognized and be put on the map!

Get Them Now Before It's Too Late!

For sale now on their website are three tiers of annual passes and even the single-day tickets. If you’re a family on a budget, I would actually recommend purchasing the annual pass. I have broken down the costs overall for purchasing the annual pass on a previous blog post. However, I will abbreviate it - get the annual pass. The Premium Pass is the best bang for your buck as it includes free parking and no blackout dates. For a limited time save $15 on the Premium Pass. See price options below as well as the perks of each tier.

Play and Stay On-Site!

LEGOLAND® New York Resort is slated to open July 4, 2020, however, according to the LEGOLAND website, the hotel is supposed to open 2021. Personally, we will most likely drive back and forth for day trips to LEGOLAND when my kids are older, but now with really little ones ages two to six - a cozy place to kick back is where its at for me. I wouldn’t mind spending a weekend at a kid-friendly resort and theme park. That being said, I sincerely hope that this is just an over projection and that they open much sooner. It would be great to be able to set some real summer vacation plans in brick now.
